Palak Patta Chat @ Abhi’s

The real crunch of deep-fried spinach, topped with yoghurt, spices & chick peas. This traditional Indian entree is indeed appetizing!

Love the presentation of the dishes at Abhi’s. Although, the seating is too cramped for anyone’s liking. The food would be rated a 7/10 (curries, naan & rice inclusive). But you got to try the “Chat”!

Frozen yoghurt @ Moochi & Noggi

These two are the competitors in frozen yoghurt, around the inner west suburb of Strathfield (NSW).

It’s approx $5.50 for a regular inclusive of toppings (only at Noggi). Both the yoghurt taste similar with alternative flavors, by the day!

Must try as a healthy alternative during the summer and I great mid-night snack!

Flavours: original, pomegranate, green tea, biscotti, blueberry & more to come (I hope!)

Tuna on deep fried sushi @ Soju Girl (ACT, Australia)

Since the high school days, I have not set foot in Canberra (more than 10years ago). Currently, Canberra has a few restaurants where booking is essential.

Soju Girl is one of them. You’re able to order small tapas size dishes (to share). These are all modern Japanese dishes with a lovely twist!

Another dish I pleasantly enjoyed was Zucchini flowers, stuffed with sushi rice! Deliciously crunchy, being deep fried in tempura batter :)

Delicately, flavoured scones @ Tea Salon

Intelligently situated within the heart of Sydney Westfield’s is a magical place! The Tea Salon (apart of Victoria Room) gives you the option for high tea set or simple enjoy small bits & pieces.

The selling point of Tea Salon is that if offers various flavours of scones. This ranges from Rose & Cinnamon, spiced sultanas (pictured above). The cinnamon scone complimented my Chai Tea extremely well.

I’d advise everyone to go and try out their scones! Or enjoy a high tea like I did in a feminine dominated surrounding.

Deep fried snapper fillet, with red curry paste @ Spice I Am

Second time I’ve visited the restaurant and it never disappoints me. The food is immaculately presented & service is 100% attentive. I find that Thai restaurants provide the best service out of any other cuisine restaurants.

My first time trying to snapper fillet $38 and tasted very fresh. It is a heavy dish and needs to be consumer with rice. Overall I rate it an 8/10.

Red duck curry is still my all time favourite at Spice I Am! :)

Yummy Chicken & Rice @ Chat Thai

TBH any chicken & rice dish at this franchise is the BEST!! I forgot the specific name of this dish. Although the rice was sO good it could of been eaten on it’s own.

Service is excellent, meals are cheap and there’s a new location just opened at Pitt St Westfield in Sydney!

I got a beef salad as well which was extremely flavorsome! Sweet, sour and chilli all combined into one dish generously :)

Sugar Hit Tasting plate @ Shangri-La

The tasting plate is sO worth it & definitely didn’t disappoint me and my two co-workers.

There were 2 distinct desserts designed for summer. Which were the lemon macaroon & tangy lime sponge
cake. The macaroon was to die for!

The other chocolate treats were designed to tempt you for more! They were varied in texture and flavours- from cherry liqueur, raspberry burst and rich coffee flavors. The Brown Brothers “Cienna” complimented the treats exceptionally well! The wine was smooth, stained deep red, with a hint of berry flavours.

Milk chocolate bavarios, tonka bean creme brûlée and salted caramel sorbet @ Glass Brasserie (Hilton Hotel)

This is the Sugar Hit this year @ Hilton! It was accompanied with a glass of brown brothers dessert wine.

The creme brûlée & wine was fantastic! There could have been a more mystical flavored sorbet to merge with the interesting bavarios.

FYI: Bavarois is the French name for Bavarian cream, it is a delicate cream dessert with a Crème Anglaise base, and then aerated with whipped cream or yogurt, egg whites and various flavourings such as fruit purée, chocolate, coffee, or liqueurs before being refrigerated to set.

10/10 for the atmosphere @ Glass

7.5/10 for the sugar hit

Spicy noodles & siw long bow @ Din Tai Fung

Simply the best siw long bow (which are steamed pork “dumplings” containing meat broth inside). This delicacy needs to be eaten with one bite! All the broth and juices makes it desirable!

Din Tai Fung is a (recent) international franchise, originating from Taiwan. It’s reasonably priced, fast service and the food can’t get any better.

There is a newly opened store at “The Star” which is the newly named Star City Casino. Although, you can only purchase the spicy noodles from express stores e.g. Westfield’s Pitt ST.
